Food here is delicious and simple. Always have amazing specials and never disappoints. This is a go to local spot with huge menu. Service is always great and accommodating. Although you don't get an amazing view the inside makes you feel like your in a local Fish shake

Place was busy. Service was friendly. Calamari was good. Place was cute with fish on the walls and had several booths along the wall. Food was fresh and served hot! My chicken was really good and served so hot! Lobster roll served hot and good. Mahi Mahi sandwich was very good. Fish and chips good too.

I finally remembered to post a Yelp review for the awesome Fish Shack. Each time I've been there before I was simply speechless at the simple yet delicious dishes presented to me. I've had the fish + chips, lobster roll and blackened hog snapper. Each one was perfection. Today I ordered wahoo in a garlic butter sauce with perfectly steamed broccoli and some of the best tasting rice I've ever had as a side dish. Again, simply prepared and super delish. The things that keeps drawing me back are the fact that Fish Shack is strictly a Florida seafood restaurant. No salmon or sea bass on their menu. The board offers mahi, grouper, yellowfin tuna and the aforementioned hogfish and wahoo along with shrimp and scallops. The fish + chips is cod but I think you could substitute fried mahi if you wish. I had to take a slice of their homemade cake home with me. I chose lemon coconut but their carrot cake is famous. Must mention the excellent service. The ladies that wait on me are consistently lovely and professional. I don't live close to Fish Shack but if I'm in the area it's my go to spot.

The restaurant is located at a corner towards the end of the place. There are plenty of parking spaces around. I had no problem finding it. It's a nice, casual, friendly, local, restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food service was fast. I liked it. The Conch fritters tasted great. I ordered the Grouper platter. It came with two sides. I chose the large french fries. I wondered what they meant by the name "Large Fries". It was not the portion size or size of the fries lol. They were good. The cucumber salad was my second side. The salad had a vinegar dressing, not for me. The fish was very good. It had a good flavor. I didn't have any room for desserts however the waitress mentioned that the desserts were made in the restaurant. The restaurant is nice. It is not so big with a big bar on one side. It has booths all around. The place feels comfortable and I had a good fish.

This place is tucked away in a strip mall but would fit right in directly on the sand. It has that dive feel except it's well lit and exceptionally clean. The oysters were ice cold, plump and flavorsome, the horseradish was nose tingling but not obnoxiously so. The conch fritters were light, airy but still chewy and loaded with conch, a good flavor. My husband said the crab cakes were really good with large chunks of crab. My fish was firm and meaty and had a good flavor. The batter covered every inch locking in the moisture so none of it was dried out. The cucumber salad was an option I chose instead of fries. It was a sweet and sour with a prominent vinegar taste but was perfect against the fried fish. The lobster in the lobster roll was tender and well seasoned. Everything we ate, I would recommend.

Haven't been to this great local restaurant in a while, but I ran into the owner in publix yesterday and remembers me and noticed that I lost weight! I love him!!!!! Must go back for dinner soon with hubby! Thank you!!!! Nancy Kelly

A wonderful Florida meal always awaits here when in Pompano Beach. Some of the best fresh-brewed Iced Tea around. Love mine with a lemon wedge. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient. Be advised it is closed on Sunday and Monday. Will make your catch after you catch it while ur fishing plus pay special attention to the offerings board ... all fresh seafood. A cup or bowl of New England Clam Chowder (a white chowder) is not to be missed! I went for the fresh mahi mahi sandwich plate but no bun. My seasoning was Cajun spice and Gee, Golly was it a good piece of fish. Tender and well-seasoned and cooked thru but not over cooked. It came with lettuce & tomato sandwich garnish and I chose Cucumber Salad as my side. My only suggestion would be a fresher looking slice of tomato on the plate. Yum!

My hubby & I wanted to try & we found the Fish Shack delicious! We had to wait a bit for a both but not too long. I was craving oysters, so I ordered a half dozen as an appetizer. They were blue points & tasted fresh. Hubby had the conch fritters - fresh & very good also. We were happy with the special board - I ordered grilled grouper & hubby grilled hogfish. We had steamed broccoli & their homemade coleslaw. We enjoyed everything we ate. I was hungry & didn't take too many pics! Hubby had the Key lime pie for dessert- he said it was ok. I would say this place is set up like a diner with booths & some tables. Very family oriented- with high chairs available. Also wanted to mention- a family at the next table brought in Fish that they caught - it's a feature called - Hook & Cook! That was a great idea! I can see myself coming here often for seafood done right!

The ambiance is exactly what the name implies. It feels like a fish shack. The food was good but I wish we would have asked the server what they are known for before ordering. We found out later people come here for the conch. Pictured are the crab cakes and they were good. Not pictured is the buffalo shrimp wrap which was also good. The service is what makes this place. The staff was great. I love places where the entire staff looks out for all tables, it's so much more efficient.

We headed in on a Saturday night and it was little bit of a wait - about 20 minutes. Not terrible. My mom had been here and really wanted to take me since we love all seafood. We ordered the fried calamari to start. Lots of big pieces. Came with marinara to dip. And the batter came out super crispy and very good. I ordered fish & chips and got it with coleslaw. It was a huge portion. I only ate half of it and gave the coleslaw to my sister who loved it. I also got to try my mom's fried whole belly clams. Very good - not gritty! And onion rings. The batter and frying situation her are magical. Service was just okay but the food made up for it. It also was very quick!
